Arabic Facts

Derived from Aramaic, the Arabic alphabet goes from right to left, and there are many variances between the Middle Eastern version and that adopted by the West

Arabic is in many ways the equivalent in the Middle East to Latin in Europe - it has lent much of its vocabulary to surrounding tongues, including Urdu, Hindi, Persian and Kurdish

Arabic was integral during medieval times, exporting to Europe many important cultural, artistic and philosophical documents

Indianapolis

With a population of around 780,000 people, Indianapolis is the second most populated state capital in the USA after Phoenix, Arizona. Famed for motor racing and amateur sports, the city is a rapidly-growing area with many different ethnicities found throughout. Recently the Hispanic population has boomed, making a great place to learn and practice Spanish. Not only is there a notable Latino presence in the city, but Indianapolis also has many immigrants from Germany, Italy, China, Korea, and former Yugoslavia; giving the city a true sense of multiculturalism.
