Chinese courses of this type are aimed towards those that need to learn Chinese to aid them with their employment. For those just starting out, it is integral to learn basic greetings and business etiquette; and reading and writing can be adopted once the simple precepts are out of the way. Success has come from students who are involved in import/export, international negotiations and acquisitions, those seeking jobs in multinational companies, and those working with foreign colleagues, academia and bureaucracy. Boston

Boston is the capital city of the commonwealth of Massachusetts and the biggest city in New England, housing around 600,000 people - though as the economic center of the region the city's population often swells to around 1.2 million during the day. The city is very cosmopolitan in terms of the cultures littered around the metropolitan area - there are sizeable communities of Irish, Italian, West Indian, Vietnamese, Bosnian and Croatian people, meaning there are different languages being spoken throughout Boston. With its reputation as a great hub of learning in the area (more than 100 colleges and universities are found in the Greater Boston Area), the city is a superb location to learn a new language.

Chinese Testimonials

"China has always fascinated me, and I'm going to be travelling around Asia in 6 months' time, so I wanted to be able to speak the basics. It was really hard at first, but my teacher was friendly and didn't rush me. I learned what I needed to learn - thanks Listen & Learn!"
