Per gli italiani la pasta è un’ eredità nazionale alla quale occorre, in un modo o nell’altro, essere all’altezza. In occasione del Word Pasta Day 2003 è stata fatta una ricerca che ha permesso di indagare in profondità il rapporto degli italiani con la pasta e dunque ricette e abbinamenti preferiti, segreti e tecniche nel cucinarla e abitudini nel comprarla.
È stato scoperto che gli italiani preferiscono una tradizionale pastasciutta al sugo rispetto ad una più elaborata agli scampi e preferiscono la pasta corta a quella lunga. Inoltre lo spaghetto piace molto di più agli uomini che alle donne ed è scelto molto di più dalle persone oltre i 65 anni piuttosto che da quelle sotto i 34, per l quali, invece, le penne passano addirittura al primo posto. Misteri di una psicologia davvero complessa.
I formati delle grandi occasioni sono soprattutto lasagne, pasta all’uovo (tagliatelle & fettuccine) mentre la pasta della domenica consiste in spaghetti e penne che battono perfino le paste ripiene come tortellini, ravioli e cannelloni che sono obiettivamente più difficoltosi da preparare in casa.
Un’ultima curiosità riguarda il numero di ricette che conosce ogni italiano, queste sono dodici e 6 sono quelle che esperimenta ogni anno. Le fonti d’ispirazione abituali sono amici e parenti , giornali e riviste , libri di cucina e televisione . Esiste infine una minoranza di creativi che si affida a una sola musa, la fantasia:si tratta soprattutto di uomini,oltre i 55 anni di età, che abitano nel Centro Italia, spinti forse dal fatto che cucinano meno spesso e lo fanno come passatempo.

All students must be at nearly the same level of Italian proficiency, must have the same needs from the language, and must be able to study at the same time and place as the others. Bookings must be made for all students simultaneously. Listen & Learn do not propose group sizes or more than 6-8 people, but In-Company Taster Italian Courses can occur with up to 12 people.
